Family Eye Care Center began serving
eye care patients in 1983. From the
very beginning Family Eye Care was
recognized as a quality facility with a
highly trained staff that was committed
to its patients and to maintaining the
latest state-of-the art equipment.

We are just as committed today as when we first opened our
doors. There has been a lot of changes in field of optometry
but we still strive to stay on the cutting edge of technology
yet never forgetting our patients and their needs. At Family

  Meet Our Professional Staff

  Doctor Terry Hendrickson is orginally from
  Kansas, having graduated from Emporia State
  University with a degree in Biology in 1977.
  Desiring to study Optometry, he then began
  his study at Southern College of Optometry
  in Memphis where he graduated in 1981.
Dr. Hendrickson has been trained in anterior
and posterior pathology, including corneal care, lacrimal
dysfunction, cataracts, and glaucoma. He also has been
certified for diagnostic and therapeutic eye care in pre and
post op care for Lasik surgury.

Dr. Hendrickson served on the Tennessee State Board of
Optometry for five years and presided as president. He is
currently serving as an advisor to the Board in standards of
practice and ethics review.

Dr. Hendrickson is married and has two children and serves
as an elder at First Presbyterian Church in Columbia.

  Bruce A. Snipes, has been a dispensing optician
  for over 17 years. He has been the Dispensing
  Optician and Lab Manager for the Family Eye
  Care Center over 11 years. Bruce is certified
  through the American Board of Optometry and
  the National Contact Lens Board. He was Para
  of the South in 2002, a regional recognition and
Para of the Year in Tennessee in 2000 and 2001.

Bruce is married and has three children. He also serves his
church as a minister, treasurer, Sunday School teacher and
van driver.
